This is one of the many online classes available at Ladies That Craft. You can make it with your own stash by following the instructions below. Have fun ……
Use the 12 x 12" Black Paper from the Timeless Armour Paper Pad as your base.
From the 2nd piece of Black paper cut out two Octagons using an octagon Die
along with 6 of the smaller octagons.
Place the centre of the octagons where you want them to appear on your page and lightly draw around them with a pencil.
Remove the shapes and using the pencil marks as a guide stamp the flowers randomly in the top right and bottom left of the black cardstock only. To do this it is best to use a dry White Stazon inkpad.
Once this is done use a white gel pen to make tiny circles for the centre of the biggest flowers and any other detail you wish to.
Cut out your photos as shown in the pictures below.
Stick your photos in place (I used the octagon shape as a template to cut out my photos.
Add the octagon border but attach it using sticky foam pads or silicone glue.
Stamp 3 sizes of flower onto the white card using a juicy black ink pad such as memento or Rangers Archival ink (the darker the ink the better the effect).
Colour the flowers in using a light blue promarker or copic pen and cut all of the flowers out using the matching dies.
Ink around the edges of the flowers using a Black Soot Distress Ink Pad to hide any white edges.
Place your flowers on the layout using the main picture as a guide. Once you are happy with the effect, stick them in place by their middles only.
Use the dry white Stazon to ink the edges of the 6 smaller octagons and place as shown in the photo.
Use the white pen to make a fine line around the edges of the layout leaving the occasional gap and adding one or two dots or dashes.
Now add your title. (I have used a small flower as the dot on Girl)
To complete the layout use glossy accents on the centre of every flower.
I hope you enjoyed this layout. For those of you who are Members of the Ladies That Craft club, I have just made 12 previous classes FREE to use on the Members site, including two mini books so don’t forget to pop across.
