Soft Colours for Spring

I have been playing around with the next clear stamp sets by DoCraft to see what I can do with them. My favourite two sets are Folk Floral and Traditional Floral comprised of little flowers and leaves.

The idea came from two birthday cards I made in class using different stamps I already had in my stash
This gave me the inspiration for the Mothers day card
and then the layout made for class
The soft colours are Archival Ink Pads and the Garden party title is stamped and then cut out.

Working on some hush, hush DT projects at the moment so will share as soon. Time for Sunday dinner now. Have a great Easter xx

Video Tutorial -Loads of photos

Because I make many, many scrapbook layouts, I often print off far more photos than I can possibly use plus I have an app on my phone which allows me 45 free photo prints per month. Well you can imagine......

So loads of photos but I never look at them because thay are in a box or drawer. What to do, well I found these great spiral bound books in Hobbycraft and it gave me an idea.
Of course doodling is the in thing right now as is colouring so what better way to decorate than doodling with a white pen
You can see a short video below showing you the process and my attempts so far. Remember, I only spend a few minutes at a time on this. It is my fill in, my time to think, my planning escape where I can endlessly doodle and come up with new ideas for classes.

Hobbycraft also sell 12 x 12 albums like this as well so well worth a trip. Hope you enjoy the video and see you all soon xx

Video Tutorial Fabric book update

Ok so I'm on a roll now. I don't get much time to do this anymore but every so often when I get inspiration,  I sneak away and play for an hour. That inspiration came this time when the postman arrived and delivered the new stamp set from Hobby Art. I fell in love with it straight away.
Anyway, here is an update and a sneek peek at my new page which I will finish at a later date. Enjoy

Watch out for another video coming soon. I love doing this and I promise I will get better as time goes on xx

Mothers Day Card

I made mums card about a week ago but I haven't shared it because I hadn't given it to her until this afternoon.

I used papers from the DoCrafts Butterfly Compendium and some of the new Traditional Floral and Folk Floral Clear stamps. The wording was cut out using the Scan n Cut

The butterflies are on a push out sheet in the compendium but I did cut them a bit closer to remove some of the white.
and it was this card that gave me the inspiration for one of the layouts I taught in the Scrapping Your Family Class on Saturday. You will be able to see both layouts from class on www.ladiesthatcraft.blogspot.co.uk from tomorrow.

For those of you in the know, I have been broadcasting live snippets of my classes on Periscope. Its an App and you can follow loads of crafters and get notifications when they are broadcasting. Worth a look. xx
