Stamping on mugs

When we can all go out again I will be teaching a painting your mug class at Crafty Friends in Rainham, Kent. I want to make a selection of examples and these are the two I have finished so far.
The other side of the Ostrich mug is a pink version.

They are so much fun to make and can be hand washed after use.
I know that a lot of you have asked how I have made the mugs but I promise once all of the classes have finished I will do a video along with a kit to get you started. Obviously you will need to purchase your own Pink Ink stamps. Watch out for more xx

Mixed Media Class April 2018

This was a fantastic day and everyone did so well. Every project was different and beautiful. Here are the pictures of my clock examples
so out of 14 students 12 decided to make the white one and 2 the metal one and they all did really well.
Here are some photos of the day

and then of course we had the group photo just to prove we did it
I will be selling the kits and online class to these very soon so keep checking my Etsy Shop
I also did little 1 minute videos every so often so that the class could look back on what they had done. I've speeded it up a bit but you get the idea.
There is another Mixed Media day on Sunday 21st October with another projects to make. Places sell fast so don't leave it till the last minute.
Have a great evening xx

I'm back....

Its been ages since I posted on any of my Blogs mainly due to family health issues but I think at last everything is moving in the right direction. One of the good things is that in the last month I have become a great aunt to a beautiful baby girl called Belle. I'm sure she will appear on many of my projects in the years to come lol.

So what to share, well this piece was made as a colour sample canvas for one of my classes. The hope was that it would allow them to choose a colour combination for their own work.

I am still itching to add some white but I think it is better this way so that I can see how the colours work for future projects.
Here is a bit more detail including a picture just to show how it looks.

It was so much fun being able to work on a larger canvas. It's definately something I will do again.

The class project was a box. The one on the right is the finished box and the one on the left was done as an example in class.
Looking forward to the next one. Something a bit different next time xx

Creativity 101

and as usual there was lots of messy fingers involved. It never ceases to amaze me how mucky we all get in just a short space of time.
The aim of this class was to build layer and to use as many different paint mediums as we could.
Firstly here is the project I made as an example

and a bit of a close up

and then, with a bit of explanation  they were let loose to choose colours and decide what they were going to use on their own work.
It was no surprise that everyone chose different colours and stencils. Here are a few of the nearly finished projects.

Rain, Rain go away….

It’s raining so hard and it’s so windy that I can’t get anything out of the car so I will have to post the cards from todays Card Class on here tomorrow.
So instead here is the last project using the foiling technique (for a while anyway). I have now decorated two cheapy Ikea frames using the same technique.

I have had a great day out in Stevenage at Stamparama with Gayle today. Got some good ideas and saw loads of people buying which was a good thing. Was I one of them?……..well yes I was and I will be sharing some lovely stamps at the next card class.
So I didn’t get back till late afternoon so once again the light was yuck however as I promised to show the Creativity class examples I though I’d better take my best shot with my little camera.
Here is the box closed and on my little table.
