I was a good class today with four new cards to make plus a good few of the previous class cards available to make as well.
Here is my favourite of the class

A fun class tonight

and lots of playing with inks and die-cuts. It’s too late to take any decent photos of the layouts so here is a photo taken in class. One day I will get a photo where everyone is looking at the camera but they were all so involved in inking at the time.

I will try to get some card and layout photos on here later in the week. xx

Photos for Tuesdays Scrapbook Class

For layout one I have used three photos measuring 2” x 2”cut down from three 4” x 6”photos. This will work better is all three photos are of the same person.

For layout two I have used a 4” x 6” portrait photo. This layout would suit a male photo.

Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow. xxx

New Nanny once more

I am often asked why my blog address is new nanny when I mostly use it to post my projects for Ladies That Craft club  so here is why this blog originally came about.

A few years ago when my first Granddaughter was born I decided it was time to start a personal blog so that I had some sort of record of my growing family. As time has moved on I have been blessed to have four beautiful grandchildren who I love very much.

From time to time I add new photos to remind me of how lucky I am. Here is a picture of my newest Granddaughter Olivia Rose.

With three beautiful girls my little grandson doesn’t get enough of the lime light so here is a quick arty photo of my little Grandson who is growing fast and is still so cuddly.

I hope you will visit again soon. Night, Night xxx

Kit Relaunch

Next weekend I am taking a trip to New Romney to teach a class that I first taught last year for the November Creativity 101 class. The class is the perpetual calendar and one of my favourites.

As this was such a  popular class I have decided to re-release it again this year as a Limited Kit.

S1020002[4]
In the kit you will receive everything you need to make this lovely project

PLUS

access to the online class with step by step instructions and loads of pictures and videos

PLUS

FREE LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP to the Ladies That Craft club.

The cost of the kit is £30 including  p & p. You can order yours HERE. (postage outside the UK will be charged at cost. Please e-mail me for international postage options).

In order to complete the project you will need to have the following:
Glue, scissors, matt white acrylic paint, a stamp with writing on or a background stamp, a Stazon ink pad (black) and a brown Distress ink pad.

This would make a fantastic gift for a friend or a treat for yourself. Once made, all you have to do is change the calendar in the centre every year.

I’ve got a busy weekend so better get cracking. Any questions please e-mail me at ladiesthatcraft@live.co.uk xx

Three Days of Christmas Past Day One

I’ve been busy sorting photos on my computer and have come across loads of Christmas Cards from past years. Most of them are designed and made by the fantastically creative Gayle Bond.
Gayles blog is called www.craftinginthebath.blogspot.co.uk and has loads of inspiration on it including her most recent work, her DT entry to the first Mail Art Challenge so why not pop across and take a look.
In the meantime here are the first few cards I found.

Thank you Newington

I had a great time in Newington on Monday teaching some lovely ladies in the local village hall.

I was really proud of myself for remembering everything until I went to take the photos and realised I had left the camera card in the laptop at home. Out came the trusty Iphone. Not a great photo but the best I could do at the time.

Not all of them were card makers but everyone, yes everyone, completed these four Christmas cards.

Ok now back to my embroidery. I’m counting Aida this morning and trying to work out where to start on my new project. Have a good one xx

Scrapping Your Family

a good technique class today where we made two layouts using die-cuts, heat embossing, distressing, sewing, border folding, stamping and…… well you get the idea.

The first layout was “So Cold” in blue, grey, white and beige tones

P1050232

The second was distressed with a splash of “Peacock Feathers”

This class is now available on the Ladies That Craft website for everyone who attended the class today.

Saturdays Scrapping Your Family Class

Hi everyone

Firstly just confirmation that all of the Nov Scrapbook Kits have been sent and all those who bought them will receive an e-mail from me on Saturday allowing them access to the online classroom.

Saturdays layouts are now done and kits made up so well ahead of myself for a change.

P1050172

If you are coming to class you will need two photos although both can be added at a later date if you would prefer.

I used:

One 4” x 6” portrait photo of use last winter

One 2.5” x 3.5” portrait photo cut down from a 4” x 6” photo. This is a picture of me holding a fox but you can use any photo of your choice.

I have used a Peacock Feathers Distress Ink pad so if you have one please bring it with you for your own personal use.

Looking forward to seeing everyone xxx
