Baby's First Christmas

and we were lucky enough to be there. Lovely Evie is growing up so fast and we get to see her so rarely that every visit is a treat but it was extra special this time, to see her on her very first Christmas.
As you can imagine, I took loads of photos and here are just a few of my favourites.

Jess was as good as gold and spent most of her time watching Evie.

I think my photos are getting better thanks to lots of tips from Sally. I’m certainly enjoying taking them.
I must admit I missed spending Christmas with Pete,  mum, dad and little sis this year but I was with them in spirit. Baileys actually
Don’t forget. If you enjoy photographs but would like to take better photos, watch out for Sally's Photographic Classes coming to Scrapbook Sisters very soon.
Happy Holidays everyone and thank you to my family for a wonderful Christmas. xxx

A work in progress

I love any form of art and craft but my absolute favourite is quiet time spent working on my Art Journal. Most of the pages I have done in this book have been used to teach however some are just for my own experiments.

When I have time to myself, and that isn’t very often, you can find me doodling or just loosing myself in my art.

Here are a few of the pages I have done for classes so far. Some aren’t finished and others are works in progress but they are all my own work.

Don’t forget, if you want to have a go to see if you like this form of art then I run a class once a month called “Altered Art Journal”. You don’t have to be arty or able to draw but I will show you loads of tips and techniques to get your own journal started.

Thanks for looking.

I love snow

but like everyone else, only in moderation. That's why it was so funny last Monday when everyone turned up to make the Penguin Book. A few people commented on how they didn’t really have any snow photos but the wise ones kept quiet.
You should have see the smiles when I received a phone call from the daughter of one of my ladies saying “tell mum to come how now. It’s snowing”. It was only when I looked out of the window into the dark that I realised just how hard it was snowing.
Well, we all carried on for a while but in the end the thick snow made us pack up and go home. So here are just a few photos of the project.

I wonder if any of the class managed to take any snow pictures for their book.

Snow, Snow go away

It’s good in small doses but I’m fed up with it now. Loads of classes cancelled and it’s still coming down. We had 7 inches overnight and the snow is now so deep that Harry disappeared as he went out the door this morning. I think it frightened him to death but he soon regained his cool and did a sort of waddle thing across the lawn. It made me laugh.

And it’s still snowing hard down here.

Terry measured 7 inches of snow on the garden table and there’s no signs of it letting up yet.

Still, plenty of time to craft and catch up with the housework and get over this rotten cold and I am still living in hope that I can catch a glimpse of a gritting lorry before this snow ends.  Make sure you wrap up warm and keep safe. xx
