It’s 7am

and I’ve a;ready been up nearly two hours. My brain is in overdrive so I decided to get some bits done before everyone else wakes up.

First on my list, of course was a cup of tea then a quick look through Facebook and now onto the blog.

I have been going through some recent photos and realised that I haven’t yet shared some of the finished Nine Square boxes that the ladies brought back to class this time. I’m sorry but I didn’t take names for each project but you know who you are.

The first was made using Lavinia Stamps and was all about fairies.

P1050600

There was lots of detail and sparkle which is hard to capture on camera.

P1050607

P1050606

P1050603

And the second was all about nature and had a little book inside (which of course I forgot to photograph)

Lovely work ladies. Thank you for sharing and I hope to see you all again in 2014.

Creativity 101 in New Romney

One of the things I love doing most is travelling out to meet and teach groups around the South East.  Yesterday, with my team (Mum and Maria) I visited, for the second time this year, a lovely group of ladies in New Romney.
At the beginning of the class everyone wanted to do the same as me but by the end, creativity won out and everyone had their own fantastic colour combinations and their own ideas to make the project their own.
Here are a few photos of works in progress.

I am now taking bookings for classes in 2014 so if you have a group who would like to take a class with me please contact me at ladiesthatcraft@live.co.uk for more information.
Thank you ladies for a fab day. We had a great time. xx

A fun class tonight

and lots of playing with inks and die-cuts. It’s too late to take any decent photos of the layouts so here is a photo taken in class. One day I will get a photo where everyone is looking at the camera but they were all so involved in inking at the time.

I will try to get some card and layout photos on here later in the week. xx

Photos for Tuesdays Scrapbook Class

For layout one I have used three photos measuring 2” x 2”cut down from three 4” x 6”photos. This will work better is all three photos are of the same person.

For layout two I have used a 4” x 6” portrait photo. This layout would suit a male photo.

Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow. xxx

New Nanny once more

I am often asked why my blog address is new nanny when I mostly use it to post my projects for Ladies That Craft club  so here is why this blog originally came about.

A few years ago when my first Granddaughter was born I decided it was time to start a personal blog so that I had some sort of record of my growing family. As time has moved on I have been blessed to have four beautiful grandchildren who I love very much.

From time to time I add new photos to remind me of how lucky I am. Here is a picture of my newest Granddaughter Olivia Rose.

P1050520-001

With three beautiful girls my little grandson doesn’t get enough of the lime light so here is a quick arty photo of my little Grandson who is growing fast and is still so cuddly.

I hope you will visit again soon. Night, Night xxx

Kit Relaunch

Next weekend I am taking a trip to New Romney to teach a class that I first taught last year for the November Creativity 101 class. The class is the perpetual calendar and one of my favourites.

As this was such a  popular class I have decided to re-release it again this year as a Limited Kit.

S1020002[4]
In the kit you will receive everything you need to make this lovely project

PLUS

access to the online class with step by step instructions and loads of pictures and videos

PLUS

FREE LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP to the Ladies That Craft club.

The cost of the kit is £30 including  p & p. You can order yours HERE. (postage outside the UK will be charged at cost. Please e-mail me for international postage options).

In order to complete the project you will need to have the following:
Glue, scissors, matt white acrylic paint, a stamp with writing on or a background stamp, a Stazon ink pad (black) and a brown Distress ink pad.

This would make a fantastic gift for a friend or a treat for yourself. Once made, all you have to do is change the calendar in the centre every year.

I’ve got a busy weekend so better get cracking. Any questions please e-mail me at ladiesthatcraft@live.co.uk xx
