A new era and a new Scrapbook Challenge

With the announcement of the closure of our lovely shop yesterday, I was feeling a bit down and as you can see from the time of this post, I can’t sleep,  so what better way to start off a new day then to announce our next Scrapbook Challenge.

Our theme this time is Spring or Summer and you can enter your layout HERE.

I need some sun

So it seemed right to use summer papers for our fortnightly classes. These papers by Echo Park are beautiful and really usable.

When I taught the class everyone kept asking me to pronounce this place but I couldn’t. Lets just say it probably stands for beautiful because the place certainly was.

Thinks With Wings

I love some of the Digi Images from Delicious Doodles and I chose the “Daisies and Butterflies” for this weeks challenge over on Southern Girls Challenge Blog.

I actually printed off the image twice on A4 paper, cut one out for the background and then the second one I used to colour with Pro-Markers and decoupage to make a 3d image.

I used a very fine black pen to make the butterfly bodies look hairy and then applied Glossy Accents to make the butterfly bodies raised and to give them a shine.

Rain, Rain go away

well it didn’t and I got very wet but it was well worth it. I love going to London and there is never enough time to go everywhere and do everything but I managed to cram in loads today.

Here are a few of todays candid shots.

And I can’t believe I met up with Ann and Sue on the train. 1,000,000 people in London today and we bumped into each other…………..PRICELESS.
