DoCrafts Project Design Team July Hop

And the theme this time is

Create A Project With An Interactive Element

I had too think long and hard about this one but I finally decided on a three tier card. Made in three layers it opens as a concertina to make a cake stack or stack of presents.

Here's the main part of the card, all folded and ready to post.

Here is tier two

And tier three

I added the tiny little flowers to finish off.

If you like this card and want to see some more interactive card ideas then start the blog hop and follow the links below.

Live,Love,Laugh

Sometimes you just get a photo that stands out and makes you think wow. That's what happened when I saw this photo of my granddaughter taken on holiday this year. She looks so much like her mummy.

Here is the layout I made for last nights class

and some of the detail.
The Live, Love, Laugh stamp is one of the free stamps from the Quick Cards Magazine this month.

The circles were made using the sewing circle stamps by Prima and the hearts were hand drawn.

I'm working on loads of projects for Docrafts at present plus making loads of Christmas cards for classes beginning in September.

Have a great day xx

Bridal Shower

I've been a bit busy over the weekend preparing for and attending my nieces Bridal Shower. My sister did most of the crafty makes but it was my job to make the food.

It was a fantastic afternoon with games and pink lemonade and loads of time to chat and relax. Here are a few photos.

All of the Bridal Shower Decorations were made by Karen. If you would like more information about these items please contact ladiesthatcraft@live.co.uk and I will pass your details on.

I had a wonderful time and now I can't wait until the big day. Love my family xxx

In The Country Birthday Card

I am a great fan of wildlife but when it comes to stamps I find it really hard to use cutesy animals. Imagine my delight when I found this amazing lifelike stamp set illustrated by Pollyanna Pickering.

It was so easy to use with all of the shading already done for you.

Here is the card I made for class last Wednesday

And some of the detail

I've als got a squirrel and a owl stamps set still to use. Think I'll try it on a scrapbook page. Enjoy your Saturday xx

Make a Wish

Today I thought I'd share a card I made for the DoCrafts Project Design Team using one of the fantastic downloads called Make a Wish.

There are nine beautiful pages to this download which you can find at www.docrafts.com and they include the sentiments as well.

Here's a close up.

You will find loads of ideas in the DoCrafts Gallery using many of the downloadable papers.
Have fun xx

DoCrafts Project Design Team ATC Swap

The Docrafts Project Design Team girlies decided to do an ATC swap recently and I really enjoyed it.

I’ve not made an ATC for absolutely ages (ATC stands for Artist Trading Card) but on receiving my swap I remembered how lovely it is to receive a small piece of artwork through the post.

My lovely artwork was from Heather. She has used the Gorguss Girl range and that cute fox with embossing and stamping.  Love it

The photos of my atc are courtesy of Sticker Kitten as I forgot to photograph mine before I sent it lol. (must so better next time)

If you want to take a look at all of the ATC's that we made, click the links below and don't forget to leave a comment. After all we all need hugs.

The Challenge of Today

The idea for this layout came from a decorated frame of all things, but I loved it so much I decided to do a 3d pencil frame and make a layout. I was amazed at how brilliant everyone's frames were as a lot of the ladies had not drawn in this way before.

And some of the detail

And here is Sue Ross' finished layout. Love it x

More coming soon so keep checking back. Xx

Max

I think that bright colours go really well with boy photos. This fantastic sizzix die was just right for the page and everyone coloured the cars in their own colours to suit their photos.

Most of the rest of the detail was made using the papers in the kit.

Another class layout tomorrow xx

Because we're Happy

This is a great page for both male and female pictures and so easy to make. It was an ideal opportunity to do a bit of hand drawing on the page.
And some of the detail

I used the Clarity Stamps Wee Folks stamp again. Still loving it lol

More tomorrow xxx

Purple flowers

This set of stamps from Habby Art are absolutely brilliant. Each stamp in the set is easy to use and very effective. This is my favourite stamp from the set.
Don't forget I will be launching card kits and online card classes in September so please email me at ladiesthatcraft@live.co.uk or follow ladiesthatcraft on Facebook for further updates on the launch.x

Colour stripes

I have ordered this paper time and time again. Originally it was from a seaside range but I find it works really well with silhouette stamps. What do you think?
These stamps are from another set made by Hobby Art. They are scrummy x

Shirt and tie

I've never made a shirt and tie card but I see all sorts of variations of them on Pinterest so I though it was about time I had a go.
What attracted me to this one is that the tie is made using simple origami.
With a bit of refinement, these would make great thank you cards for groomsmen. X

You're the greatest

This glasses paper has been sitting in my cupboard for ages waiting for me to make a scrapbook page  but the other day I suddenly realised that it would also look great on a mans card.

I think it turned out ok.
Another card tomorrow x

Special birthday

Made in class a few weeks ago, this card can be adapted for any special birthday.
The flowers were coloured to match or compliment the background papers.
This would also make a great anniversary card. X

Princess

The paper I used for this background was lovely but I thought it needed something so out came the homemade texture paste , stencil and my chalk paints and voila, instant wording. It made to perfect background for this old photo of my niece who is getting married this year. (Goodness, hasn't time flown).

And the detail

Loved making this one, especially making the flowers. I am learning all the time. X
