DoCraft DT and Commissions

Gorjuss HSN tv Day Three

Now for a bit of fun and some easy projects to make at home. My favourite think I made was the canvas bag for the Journal. I used fabric paints to colour the Gorjuss Girl and a little heart button from the embellishment pack. Unfortunately this one was not shown.

and here is the journal that went in it.
Next was a hanging Heart decoration (again not used but still cute)
and finally a decorated gift box

Love those resin flower embellishments and they are fantastic used on a mixed media canvas as well which you will see in April.

Don't forget, you can find the HSN video link HERE

Hope you enjoyed this. Back to mixed media tomorrow xx

Gorjuss HSN tv Day Two

So today its the scrapbook pages. Very simple pages for me but easy to follow and I love the brighter colours this time.

Last lot tomorrow and its projects and don't forget to check out the HSN videoHERE. xxx

Gorjuss HSN tv

So sometime I'm asked to make projects specifically for HSN tv to promote DoCraft projects across the pond. This can be quite an adventure as I am restricted to using the products I am sent but it makes me really think about how to display the products on my projects to maximum effect as each item normally only appears until the product is sold out on the day.

You can find a link to the actual video at the bottom of this post but over the next few days I will post all of the items I sent. Some were used, some not but that's the way it goes.

Lets start with the cards.

If you click the link below you will be able to watch a video of the programme that went out in the USA with all of the samples that I made.

More tomorrow.

Day Two DoCrafts PDT

So day two and a mixture of projects amongst my favourites. Lets start with the Mothers Day card
And the fox die card which I still use all the time.
A little decorated bag for hubby
and a die cut card which took ages
Loads more still to come xx

DoCraft DT

After two years on the DoCrafts Design Team I decided not to apply for a third term. I've had a great time and made some really good friends and gained a whole load of new products in the process.

Here are a few of my favourite makes some of which were used and some not. Lets start off with the Gorjuss projects.
Loved this using the bottle tops squashed and painted to make this child's bracelet. More tomorrow xx

Deer Deer Rustic Gate card

There is a lot of hard work goes into preparing a card commissioned by a magazine. This month my Rustic Deer card appeared in the Docraft Creativity magazine (the magazine is really good with loads to try out and step by step instructions)
There is a lot of trial and error, preparation and experimenting before the final project is accepted so I just wanted to give you a little look at some of the tried but not used cards that fell by the wayside.

My first challenge was to make a body for the die cut stags head and then to add some detail (I had to add an eye. Nothing looks right without an eye lol)

and then the gate shape.
and of course the backgrounds but I had to use the little mushroom die in each one (well its so cute).
And then adding the greeting

Hope that gives you some idea of the amount of work that goes into each commission, but I will say I love the challenge. It makes me think and stretches my brain and crafting skills so if you ever get the chance to have a go, don't hesitate. You wont regret it.

You can see loads of wonderful inspiration from myself and the really creative Design Team over at Docrafts. xx

This is one of the layouts I made as part of the DoCraft Dt in March/April this year. The papers took me right out of my comfort zone but I liked the finished result.
Here are a few more picture showing the detail.

The papers and embellishments are from the Capsule Geometric Mocha range. You can see more of my work in the DoCraft Gallery by clicking HERE.

Santoro's Gorjuss Swing Card

Being part of the DoCraft Design Team means that sometimes I am lucky enough to be published in the Creativity Magazine. It's a real thrill to see your work in print and I recommend that if you ever get the chance to have a go, go for it.

Its issue 69 and includes the details of all the 2016 Design Team.
The card was an easy swing card suitable for everyone to make. This is the front view.
and the back
and if you'd like to know how to make the card there are instructions in DoCrafts Creativity magazine no 69. xx
