So many train pictures

My husband has always loved steam trains and I have loads of photos of him with or near trains and I am trying to do an album for him, so here is my second layout for the class last Saturday and no surprise, it shows two pictures of trains.

There was lots of stamping this time

And I know in class some of you questioned the red bow but I included it to tie in with the red on the train.

Love that calendar as well

I’m out for the day tomorrow so I will share the cards from the card class later this week. xxx

The last Scrapbook Class of 2014

Thank ladies for a lovely morning on Saturday. The mince pies and chocolates went down a treat and there was certainly lots of laughter.
Here is the first of the two layouts made on the day
And some of the detail
I just love using texture paste especially when I can make it from scratch myself. This time I coloured it using a chalk paint.
Layout two tomorrow. Night night xxxx

Oh Yes

At last I can confirm the first CROP date for 2015

What is a CROP you might ask. Well a Crop is really another word for a social day. Its a fantastic opportunity to bring along your Scrapbooking, Card Making, Knitting, Sewing, Altered Art, well you get the idea, and spend the whole day crafting with like minded people. It’s also a great opportunity to catch up on all of those unfinished projects lol.

We all have loads of fun and everyone is happy to share their ideas and natter.

Your ticket includes tea, coffee, biscuits and cake all day plus of course, a great make and take for you to complete and take home.

This is a ticket only event and due to the size of the hall numbers are limited so please book your place as soon as possible.  Click HERE to buy a ticket. Enter your name and then add to cart. If you are booking for more than one person please press “continue shopping” each time as you will need to add each persona name.

I am so excited that these great events are starting again. The plan is to have four this year so keep checking back for more info or sign up to receive e-mail updates.

If you have any questions please email me at or message me on the Ladiesthatcraft Facebook page.

Have a great evening xxx

More Christmas Cheer

And the two layouts from the 4th December
And I love the details on this one

Layout Two
I found that a lot of the Christmas papers out there this year were very busy. My inclination was to get out the white cardstock but I resisted. After all, its good to challenge yourself sometimes.
This one looked really straight forward but was time consuming
Still some more inspiration to come before the big day so keep checking back. xx

Winter Leaves

My final layout for Novembers Scrapbook Class and one of my entries for the December Hobby Art Challenge.
Very simple but time consuming because the leaves are all stamped and then either coloured in with Distress Inks or cut out from coloured paper.
I added small touches of glossy accents and some distressing around the edges of the leaves to add interest. xx

The Joy of Christmas

I love simple in fact, the easier the better and this lovely paper made completing this layout so easy.
Just a little glitter and it was finished
and a title of course.
I’m off to take some photos tomorrow and to drink hot chocolate and eat warm mince pies. Have a great weekend xxx

Love those reindeer

I have managed to get hold of some beautiful papers this year for the Scrapbook Classes. They include a lovely reindeer paper which I have been itching to use.
Reindeer are especially good for men pages and as I am currently making an album of my dad it was the right choice.
I could have used it as the background but I decided it would look much better as the embellishments for the page.
I cut some extra out and decoupage them onto the page. A bit of glitter and voila.
And love this holly punch from Woodware too.
And then of course, I decided to take that idea and make a card with it for Christmas
Makes a nice man card I think
Don’t forget to watch out for the FREE step by step Christmas layout on here soon.
I will post more tomorrow. xx
