Three little books

Yes I’m hooked and very impatient waiting for the paint to dry between coats. Tried using the heat gun but it looked odd so I’ve decided to do other things while it dries.

Here are three little Notebooks halfway to their transformation

I’m trying different colours this time but I can’t quite leave the beautiful blue alone lol.

Watch out for the finished product over the next few days.

I wonder if it’s dry yet……….

I so love messy craft days

Over the last few months I have been collecting “things” or rubbish as my DH says, ready to make a Finnibair inspired canvas.
I thought I’d start small and work up. Here is my first effort

I really enjoyed playing but I still have a lot to learn so there will be loads of play days for me in the near future and when I get it mastered, there will be a class promise.
Have a great week. xxx

Something unique to wear

Nowadays it’s difficult to find a one off t-shirt and when you do, it costs the earth, so for those of us whose pockets are not quite that deep, I decided to make a one off t-shirt of my own.

There it is on its hanger

If you’re coming to the crop on 28th Feb, you will have a chance to make your own t-shirt in a class which is only bookable on the day.

Have a great weekend xxx

And the 2nd Butterfly Layout

So this is layout two as promised. Entitled “Travel” I have used more white space as I wanted to use a photo of my husband and didn’t want it too fussy.

Four………….really

I love watching everyone's faces when I announce at the beginning that we are to make four cards instead of the normal three. There are looks of horror and often nervous laughter however I know that will all have a good time lol.
Here are the four together
IMG_4970
The first is so simple but looks lovely and is quick to make.
IMG_4963
Next its something a bit more involved but still pretty.
IMG_4960
Third is a birthday card suitable for everyone and a good last minute make.
IMG_4967
And the fourth, made to introduce the use of texture paste into our card making. I didn’t add a greeting so that everyone could choose their own.

My card classes are suitable for beginners and experienced crafters. If you would like to come along and make a few cards please e-mail me at ladiesthatcraft@live.co.uk.

First Scrapbook Class of 2015

and of course it was the Scrapping Your Family class.
Two very different layouts and a few techniques thrown in as well.
Here’s the first based on the Project Life idea but made using cardstock, foam pads and a lot of patience.

Layout Two is totally different. Tearing was the name of the game including tearing around the photos which some people found hard.

Photos are from the Dickens Festival in Rochester last year. If you ever get the chance, come and take a look. I thoroughly enjoyed it and got some great photos. This was my favourite from the day.

And I know it’s a bit late but, Happy New Year to you all. Lets have a fantastic 2015 xxx

Three Fresh Cards

Really like using at orange at present. I think its a phase I’m going through with vivid colours such as Turquoise, Orange and Olive Green always the first colours I turn to.
There were three cards for the card class last Thursday including a very simple Valentines card which could easily be turned into an engagement or wedding card.
Here are the three together

And the main card using the superb Spellbinders stamps on the front of a magazine this month

The second using soft blue stripes (I had to add an orange butterfly of course)
