An introduction to Sonic

Well it was Harry yesterday so today its our Sonic. Sonic has been with us for 14 years and is admittedly one of my favourites. He is a character and even talks when you speak to him. Over the years he has had many scrapes leaving him with a limp and nearly no teeth, but he is much loved.

Here he is sunning himself on the table in the garden (his favourite spot).

Harry thinks he’s a bird

I have the only cat in the world who thinks he is a bird. His latest antics found him in the bird bath in the garden and gave me a great photo opportunity. Here are just some of the photos.

Wall Hanging

I have always been a great fan of Paper Artsy and when I saw the stamps I just had to use them.

This project was so simple to make because all I needed was 4 pieces of chipboard and a hanger. I used a heart hanger which we have in the shop. All of the decoration is done using Distress Ink Pads, gold embossing, acetate and wire. I love the colour palete and have been meaning to make another, larger one when I get time.

I'm finding it hard.........

to know where to start. I have so many projects which I have done in the past and have never shown so do I start afresh or do I show you some of my older stuff.
Older stuff first I think. This first piece is a wooden pencil box converted and decorated to house one of my many Art Journals.

The figure is hand drawn and the girls skirt is made from Grunge Board. THe background is a mixture of acrylic paint, Distress INk Pads and Stazon. The dots are made using bubble wrap with black acrylic paint. I really enjoyed doing this and have since made two others for larger journals. One thing I did learn was that the small hinges and catches on the boxes were just to flimsy so I replaced them with stronger hardware from a DIY store.
